Breaking: US, Israel kill wife of Iran’s Supreme Leader

The wife of the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Mansoureh Khojasteh Bagherzadeh, has reportedly died on Monday, March 2, days after she sustained injuries in the joint assassination by the United States and Israel in Tehran.

The 79-year-old was born in Mashhad, Iran. She was a sister to the former Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) deputy director Hassan Khojaste Bagherzadeh. She was present with the late Supreme Leader at his compound in Tehran during the US and Israel attack.

According to India TV, Khamenei and his wife got married in 1964 and were blessed with six children. These included four sons (Mostafa, Mojtaba, Masoud, and Meysam) and two daughters (Hoda and Boshra).

The death of Iran’s Supreme Leader has escalated the tension in the Middle East as Iran vowed to avenge the death of Khamenei. President Masoud Pezeshkian disclosed that Iran’s military will crush the bases of the enemy in the region, while describing the death of the Iranian leader as a “declaration of war against the Muslims”.

Her death has started generating reactions on social media. Below are some of their comments:

Uzair doubted the report of her death:

“No, there is no credible confirmation that Mansoureh Khojasteh Bagherzadeh (wife of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei) has died from injuries sustained in any US-Israeli attack on Iran.”

MNB General projected the continuation of the war:

“Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth on Monday spoke to widening concerns that the U.S.-Israeli strikes in Iran could spiral into a protracted regional conflict by declaring, “This is not Iraq. This is not endless.”

Tab Panadol prayed for her demise:

“May Allah be pleased with her and shower his blessing upon her resting soul. Ameen.”

Mahrukh Zahid mourned:

“May Allah grant both of them the highest rank in Jannah. Ameen.”

Sidra Kuser ( Dimple Mahar) prayed for the deceased:

“May Allah grant them the highest place in Jannah and reward them with place with Sayyida Fatima, Ameen.”
