The Minister of Education, Dr Olatunji Alausa, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure re-election in the 2027 presidential election, saying the administration’s performance and ongoing reforms provide a strong basis for another mandate.
Alausa stated this in Abuja, according to a statement on Monday by his special adviser, media and communications, Mr Ikharo Attah, saying President Tinubu has remained committed to fulfilling the promises made to Nigerians through bold economic and structural reforms that are steadily repositioning the country’s economy and laying the foundation for sustainable growth.
According to the Minister, the impact of the administration’s policies is increasingly being reflected in key macroeconomic indicators and acknowledged by reputable national and international institutions.
He noted that assessments by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, Bloomberg, and Nigeria’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) indicate that the country’s economic reforms are yielding measurable results, strengthening investor confidence and improving the overall economic outlook.

Alausa said inflation is gradually easing, economic activities are expanding and other critical economic indicators continue to show signs of steady improvement, adding that the progress is evidence that the administration’s difficult but necessary reforms are beginning to produce tangible benefits.
“The President is focused on building a stronger Nigeria for generations to come. These reforms are not designed for short-term gains but to create lasting prosperity. There is no value in making difficult decisions if they cannot stand the test of time,” he said.
The Minister explained that President Tinubu’s emphasis on fiscal discipline, structural reforms, and long-term economic stability is positioning Nigeria for inclusive growth, higher productivity, and sustainable national development.
He stressed that the President is committed not only to achieving immediate economic gains but also to ensuring that the reforms remain sustainable and continue to benefit Nigerians well into the future.
Alausa maintained that as more Nigerians experience the positive impact of the administration’s policies and economic reforms, President Tinubu’s performance would remain the strongest argument for his re-election in 2027.
He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to implementing policies that strengthen the economy, improve citizens’ welfare and advance the Renewed Hope Agenda, expressing optimism that the ongoing reforms would continue to deliver lasting prosperity for the country.
